Chesterfield Special Cylinders partners in green hydrogen Initiative for Sheffield’s steelmakers

Chesterfield Special Cylinders (CSC) is proud to announce our partnership in the groundbreaking Hydrogen for the Decarbonisation of Sheffield Steel (HYDESS) project. Recently awarded funding by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, this initiative marks a significant step forward in the Industrial Hydrogen Accelerator Programme: Stream 2B.

As a key player in this project, CSC will explore innovative methods to decarbonise our own forging processes, while showcasing our solutions for the safe and cost-effective storage and transportation of hydrogen. This collaboration not only highlights our commitment to sustainable practices but also reinforces our role in supporting Sheffield’s steelmakers in their journey toward a greener future.
