Integrity Management Technician (Mechanical Fitter)

Working pattern: 37 hours a week. Monday – Thursday 06:30 – 16:15. Flexibility will be required for offsite/offshore deployments.

Salary: £17.16 per hour (£33,015.84 per annum) + deployment premiums.

Job description

To provide a high level of service to customers in relation to product and system build quality and periodic validation through the application of visual and non-destructive inspection methods, test procedures and mechanical skills at customer facilities, onboard vessels and in the CSC factory.

Responsibilities

This is not an exhaustive list, but is a general guide of the main duties of the role:

  • Demonstrate high-level skills and capabilities in the testing, fault finding and repair of operational equipment, including high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems, vacuum and pump assemblies etc.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of pressure system operational procedures and best practice, with support from the company’s training and development resources.
  • Use of calibrated torque equipment to correctly tighten flange and other connections. 
  • Building and connecting temporary pipe manifolds and vent lines on high-pressure gas systems.
  • Fabricating pipework assemblies using tube bending techniques with nut and ferrule connections.
  • Calibration of pressure relief valves.
  • Knowledge and use of P&ID/GA drawings and implementation of two-valve isolation / LOTO.
  • Knowledge and use of Safe Systems of Work, SOPs, RAMS, POWRAs.
  • Submitting daily site progress reports and recording down time.
  • To be prepared on standby for deployment to customer sites in the UK and worldwide.
  • To be prepared to work away from home for four weeks at a time.
  • Utilise your skills flexibly in the CSC factory as required while not on deployment.  Be an active and integral part of the CSC operations team during this time.
  • Seek improvement opportunities and implement them in a controlled and methodical manner with the guidance of management and supervision.
  • To work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve project completion within a given timescale. 

Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering Level 3 (minimum)
  • Basic machining experience (desirable)
  • Read and understand technical drawings (essential)
  • Identifying and using various thread and connection types of differing material Tapered/Parallel (essential)
Role specific compliance requirements include but are not limited to
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • Pass the BPSS security check
  • Maintain an up to date and valid passport with the necessary time remaining to enter various countries around the world
  • Do not have restrictions preventing you from entering any countries or being able to get a visa. 
  • Certified as fit to work off-shore following off-shore medical arranged by the Company.
