Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Working pattern: Shift 1: Monday – Thursday 06:30 – 15:00 & Friday 06:30 – 11:30. Shift 2: Monday – Thursday 11:00 – 20:45 (+15% shift premium)
Salary: £21.75 per hour (£41,847 per annum) + 15% shift premium on shift 2.

Job description
Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will be responsible for the daily maintenance within the factory, the main focus will be prevention of production downtime and reacting to any breakdowns.
Responsibilities
This is not an exhaustive list, but is a general guide of the main duties of the role:
- To provide training, support and guidance to the Electrical Maintenance apprentice.
- Provides electrical competency on plant, machinery and site facility, covering all aspects of Maintenance.
- Plans and undertakes scheduled electrical maintenance, ensuring optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment with minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring.
- Assess the parts needed and raise requisition requests for ordering of parts.
- Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting, heating systems, and alarms.
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
- Ensure health and safety is being adhered to at all times.
Experience
- Experience working in a heavy engineering environment and working with overhead cranes
- Working at heights / Confined space training
Skill and attributes
- Qualified Electrician, City & Guilds 2330 & 2391 or NVQ Level 3
- 18th Edition
- Read and understand technical drawings
