  1. Chris Webster

    Managing Director

    Chris Webster, an engineer and metallurgist from the University of Birmingham, serves as the Managing Director of Chesterfield Special Cylinders Holdings plc. With over 30 years of experience in heavy engineering across the marine, rail, aerospace, automotive and energy sectors, he has held senior roles in British Steel,Tata Steel, Wabtec Rail Ltd and Pressure Technologies plc. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Warwick and feels passionate about developing teams and cross functional working to deliver sustainable results for the company and the Sheffield region.

  2. Sally Millen

    Finance Director

    Sally Millen

    Sally is a Chartered Accountant and the Finance Director of Chesterfield Special Cylinders Holdings plc. Holding a degree from the University of Sheffield, she brings over 17 years of experience in senior finance roles to the executive team. She has played a key role in the designing and executing major improvements to the Company’s financial management, reporting framework, and internal controls.

  3. Rachel Grundy

    Commercial Director

    As Commercial Director for Chesterfield Special Cylinders, Rachel leads strategic initiatives to drive business growth and strengthen client relationships. With over 10 years of experience in senior commercial management and sales, and a Masters in International Business and Strategic Management, she has a sharp focus on aligning commercial goals with customer needs. This makes Rachel a pivotal figure in CSC’s mission to enhance market presence and provide world-class gas containment solutions while fostering long-term partnerships.

  4. Stephen Butler

    Sales Director

    With over 17 years at Chesterfield Special Cylinders, Stephen drives sales growth across major markets. As Sales Director, he strengthens relationships with customers in aerospace, naval, oil and gas, and process industries. His previous roles, including Director of Integrity Management and International Sales Development Manager, have contributed to the company’s global success. Stephen’s expertise in compressed gas containment vessels and leadership in managing complex sales projects ensures the delivery of outstanding solutions both in the UK and internationally.

  5. Lee Lawrence

    Naval Programs Director

    Lee has been with Chesterfield Special Cylinders since 1997, progressing from an apprentice-trained engineer to his current role as Naval Programs Director. He holds an Honours Degree in Engineering with Business Studies and a Masters in Business Administration. Since 2019, Lee has focused on CSC’s global naval programs and represents the company at senior Government and Navy levels worldwide. He is an active member of the Maritime Defence & Security Group of the Society of Maritime Industries.

  6. Scott Rhodes

    Operations Manager

    Scott Rhodes

    Scott joined Chesterfield Special Cylinders as an Apprentice in 2003 and has undertaken a variety of roles in the organisation including Engineering Manager. Scott is now the Operations Manager and responsible for overseeing all production activities on a daily basis. He manages an experienced team of leaders and operatives who manufacture and retest our products through a complex set of processes. The experience he has is invaluable when developing new apprentices through the business apprenticeship scheme.

  7. Daniel Nuttall

    Inspection and Testing Services Manager

    Daniel joined Chesterfield Special Cylinders in 2008 as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice, and progressed through various roles, including maintenance, quality assurance and deployment management. Since 2020, he has led the Inspection and Testing Services team, bringing his HNC-qualified engineering expertise to a diverse role that spans sales, engineering, quality, testing, inspection and recertification.

  8. James Taylor

    Technical Manager

    James Taylor

    James joined Chesterfield Special Cylinders as an Apprentice, and progressed through various roles and is now responsible for leading the technical team internally and building trust and relationships with customers. As well as his standard role James represents the company on the committee team for working standards, developing product, maintaining compliance and ensure the company meets regulatory framework.
